Crombie REIT announces appointment of Glenn Hynes as Chief Financial Officer

Glenn brings a wealth of relevant financial and business experience to Crombie REIT, having previously held the position of Chief Financial Officer at the time of Crombie's establishment and initial public offering in 2006. Mr. Hynes also held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Sobeys Inc. from 2001 to 2004 and Executive Vice President & Chief Development Officer (2005-2006) and subsequently was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Gammon Gold Inc. Most recently, Mr. Hynes served as Chief Financial Officer and a Partner of Bluewave Energy Ltd, a national fuel distributor.

Having worked for Sobeys Inc. and Crombie REIT for 10 years, Glenn has a wealth of knowledge and experience related to the development, operation and financing of food anchored retail plazas which will benefit Crombie greatly" said Mr. Clow.

Glenn graduated from the University of Prince Edward Island with a Bachelor of Business Administration (1983) and earned his CA designation with Coopers & Lybrand (1985). Glenn was a 2000 recipient of Canada's Top 40 Under 40.
